Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Catalyn, a Shopify app operated by Paxworks Ltd ("Paxworks", "we", "us"). By installing the app, you agree to them. If you're installing on behalf of a business, you're confirming you have authority to do so.
What Catalyn does
Catalyn imports your Shopify catalog and checks each product against requirement rules you control. It can import supplier files (CSV or Excel) into products, move products through a workflow (Draft, Enrichment, Review, Ready, Live, Archived), and write changes to your Shopify store.
Your content and checks
- You're responsible for your product content, including prices, descriptions and claims, whether you typed it, imported it from a supplier file, or accepted a suggestion from Catalyn.
- Readiness scores and rules are a tool to help you spot gaps. They don't guarantee that a product meets the requirements of Google, a marketplace or any law.
- Column mapping for supplier files may be suggested by AI. Suggestions can be wrong; Catalyn asks you to confirm price, cost and stock columns and shows a preview before importing, and you should check it.
- Most changes can be undone. Deleting variants or images in Shopify can't be reversed as the same objects; Catalyn marks these before you approve them.
Billing
- Installing Catalyn runs a free catalog scan (up to 10,000 products) with the dashboard and fix lists at no cost. A paid plan is required to edit products and requirement profiles, import supplier files, move products through the workflow and publish to Shopify.
- Plans are priced by the number of products in Catalyn. Charges are billed exclusively through Shopify's billing system, so we never handle your card details. Paid plans include a free trial where shown in the app.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in the app or your Shopify admin; cancelling stops future billing but doesn't refund the current period unless required by law. Your data isn't deleted when you cancel or downgrade.
- Pricing is shown in the app and may change with notice; continued use after a change means you accept it.
Your responsibilities
- Keep your Shopify store and account credentials secure.
- Only upload supplier files you have the right to use.
- Don't use the app to circumvent Shopify's own terms, or in any way that's unlawful, abusive, or that attempts to disrupt the service.
Data
How we handle your data, including deletion within 48 hours of uninstalling, is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.
Service availability
We aim to keep Catalyn available and reliable but don't guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may suspend or restrict access for maintenance, to address abuse, or for non-payment.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paxworks is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of Catalyn, including lost sales or errors in product data you approved for publishing. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.
Termination
You may stop using Catalyn at any time by uninstalling it; products already in your Shopify store stay as they are. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, non-payment, or if required by Shopify's platform policies.
Changes to these terms
We'll update the "last updated" date above if these terms change and post the new version at this URL. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
